Bru finds an old hat and assumes it belongs to a suspicious, evil person based on its color and appearance. He convinces his friends that the hat's owner must be a dangerous character. Bru and his friends even prepare to confront the mysterious figure they believe to be a threat. However, when they approach, the "evil" figure turns out to be Puddles, who reveals that the hat is his father's, a kind and beloved hippo. Bru learns a valuable lesson about judging others based on appearances and realizes it's wrong to judge someone by their possessions or clothing.
